Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to demonstrate excellence in the field of financial technology as four outstanding students from the FinTech programme achieved a remarkable success at the Financial Run & TradingView Analytics Challenge recently held at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT).
Heartiest congratulations are extended to Karen Kuan, Shukiranessh, Muhammad Amir, and Muhammad Danial for proudly securing 1st Place in the prestigious competition. The challenge was organised by the UMT-CGS East Coast Trading Centre (UCTC) in collaboration with Fakulti Perniagaan, Ekonomi dan Pembangunan Sosial (FPEPS), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), with sponsorship support from the Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC) East Coast Chapter.

The competition gathered talented students from various higher education institutions and provided a platform for participants to showcase their competencies in financial analytics, trading strategies, data interpretation, and market analysis using the TradingView platform. Participants were required to demonstrate not only technical and analytical capabilities, but also strategic thinking, teamwork, and the ability to make informed financial decisions in a competitive environment.
The outstanding achievement by the UMPSA FinTech students reflects the growing strength of the university in nurturing future-ready graduates equipped with digital financial knowledge, analytical thinking, and practical industry-oriented skills. Their success also highlights the effectiveness of the FinTech programme in preparing students to meet the evolving demands of the financial technology and digital economy sectors.
Beyond the competition itself, this accomplishment serves as a testament to the students’ commitment, perseverance, and passion for continuous learning. Competing against participants from various institutions required high levels of preparation, collaboration, and confidence, all of which were clearly demonstrated by the team throughout the challenge.
The Faculty of Industrial Management (FIM), UMPSA, takes great pride in this meaningful achievement and hopes it will inspire more students to actively participate in academic and industry-related competitions at both national and international levels. Such involvement not only enhances students’ technical competencies but also strengthens communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills that are essential in today’s competitive landscape.
Congratulations once again to Karen Kuan, Shukiranessh, Muhammad Amir, and Muhammad Danial on this well-deserved achievement. May this success continue to motivate and inspire greater accomplishments in the future while further elevating UMPSA’s reputation in the field of Financial Technology and innovation.
