Work-Based Learning (WBL) is an educational approach that integrates academic learning with practical experience in an actual workplace. Students learn not only through lectures and classroom activities but also by completing authentic work tasks under the guidance of industry practitioners and academic supervisors.

Attention BPP 2024 Intake Students (PB24xxx)

The Faculty of Industrial Management, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), is pleased to invite eligible students from the Bachelor of Project Management, BPP 2024 intake, to apply for the fourth cohort of the Work-Based Learning Programme (WBL-3u1i).

The WBL programme provides students with an opportunity to experience structured workplace learning through an industry placement of up to one year. It is designed to bridge academic knowledge with real-world project management practices, allowing students to develop professional competencies while completing their studies.

Through this programme, students will be exposed to actual organisational environments, industry projects, professional work practices and workplace challenges. Selected students may also receive a monthly allowance from the participating company during their placement.

Why Join the WBL Programme?

One-Year Industry-Based Learning Experience

Students will undergo an extended industry placement of up to one year. This provides more comprehensive workplace exposure compared to a conventional short-term internship.

During the placement, students will have the opportunity to apply project management theories, methods and tools in real organisational settings.

Paid Industry Placement

Selected students may receive an attractive monthly allowance, subject to the terms and conditions offered by the respective participating companies.

This allows students to gain valuable professional experience while continuing their academic journey.
