The Bachelor of Financial Technology (FinTech) is a cutting-edge undergraduate programme designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills to navigate the rapidly evolving financial services landscape. By integrating principles of finance, banking, technology and innovation the programme empowers students to address challenges and seize opportunities in the modern financial ecosystem. Graduates will develop the expertise needed to thrive in roles across digital banking, payment systems, blockchain development, financial data analytics, and other emerging areas within the FinTech sector. This programme is delivered through two distinct modes: Coursework Mode and Industry Mode (3u1i). For course work mode is offered full time (minimum 4 years, maximum 6 years) and for a 3u1i mode, students will be three (3) years in university and one (1) year in industry placement at the end of the study year. Through the 3u1i mode, students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical technical skills directly from industry experts during their year-long placement. This immersive experience enhances their employability by equipping them with industry-relevant competencies and real-world insights, ensuring they are well-prepared for the workforce upon graduation. This 4-year programme offers a well-balanced and comprehensive curriculum that integrates interdisciplinary knowledge in finance, technology, and financial data analytics. Graduates are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in various high-demand fields, including Digital Banking and Financial Services, FinTech Startups and Innovation, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency, Financial Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence and Investment and Wealth Management.
