UMPSA KAMPUS PAYA BESAR, 25 September 2026 – The Faculty of Industrial Management (FIM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), welcomed its new undergraduate students through the FIM Faculty Orientation Programme, held on 24 and 25 September 2026 at ASTAKA, UMPSA Gambang.

Organised in collaboration with the IMPRESS Student Club, the two-day programme aimed to provide new students with an early introduction to the faculty, its academic environment, support system and student community as they begin their journey at UMPSA.

A key highlight of the programme was the engagement session with the Dean, Deputy Deans, Heads of Department and Programme Coordinators, where students were introduced to the faculty’s management team, academic structure and expectations throughout their studies.

Students also had the opportunity to meet lecturers from their respective programmes, creating an early platform for interaction and helping them become more familiar with the academic community within FIM.

Another important component of the programme was the Meet Your Academic Advisor session, which enabled students to connect with their respective Academic Advisors (PA). The session highlighted the role of academic advisors in providing guidance, monitoring students’ academic progress and supporting their overall development throughout their university experience.

In addition to the academic engagement sessions, various activities coordinated by IMPRESS provided a more welcoming and interactive environment for the new students. These activities encouraged peer interaction, strengthened communication and helped foster a sense of belonging among the students.

The programme also reflected FIM’s commitment to ensuring that new students receive appropriate guidance and support from the beginning of their university journey.

Through this initiative, FIM hopes that students will be better prepared to adapt to university life, develop meaningful connections and confidently begin their academic journey at UMPSA.

Welcome to FIM and best wishes to all new students for a successful and rewarding 2026/2027 academic session.
