PEKAN, 8 September 2026 – The Faculty of Industrial Management (FIM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), successfully organised the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme: Jalinan Mesra Komuniti in collaboration with the Pusat Aktiviti Warga Emas (PAWE), Pekan at Pantai Tanjung Gosong, Pekan, Pahang.
The programme was organised as part of FIM’s continuous commitment to strengthening community engagement and promoting meaningful interaction between university staff and the local community, particularly senior citizens.
The programme began with registration, followed by a morning refreshment session, light aerobics and group formation. Participants then took part in the main activity, “Treasure Hunt Rentas Generasi”, which was designed to encourage active participation, teamwork, creativity and social interaction in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
A total of five activity checkpoints were prepared, including Cross Word Puzzle, Creative Drawing, Ping-Pong Ball on Spoon, Beach Bowling and Spot the Differences. Participants were divided into five groups and rotated between each checkpoint with the support of FIM lecturers who served as facilitators.
The activities provided an opportunity for participants to stay active while also strengthening communication, cooperation and friendship between members of PAWE and the FIM community. The programme created a cheerful and inclusive atmosphere while promoting the importance of active and healthy ageing.
The event concluded with a closing ceremony, prize presentation and photography session, followed by lunch before participants departed.
Through programmes such as Jalinan Mesra Komuniti, FIM continues to strengthen its role beyond academic activities by contributing to community well-being and building closer relationships with local stakeholders.
The programme also reflects UMPSA’s commitment towards community engagement and social responsibility by encouraging university members to share their expertise, time and energy for the benefit of society.
