MonsoonSIM Training for Educators

Facilitated by Mr Alex Ong, FPI lecturers have go through a comprehensive one-day training program and experienced the future of business education with the experiential learning platform using Artificial Intelligence.

MonsoonSIM is a business simulation game that allows players to experience the challenges of running a business in a virtual environment. The game is designed to provide a realistic experience of the complexities of business management, such as decision-making, risk analysis, and strategic planning. It is a web-based application that can be accessed from any device with an internet connection, making it a convenient tool for educators to conduct classes and having a fun environment during the teaching and learning activities.

On November 14, 2024, our Bachelor of Business Analytics and Computer Modelling & Simulation students geared up for a power-packed talk on “Data-Driven Decisions: Unlocking the Power of Analytics.”

Leading this session is Sheng Han Lim, Senior Consultant from Deloitte Consulting. With his expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning, Sheng Han Lim dived into how data analytics is reshaping industries and empowering informed decisions. Joining him are two esteemed professionals: Son Mun Sun, Senior Operations Research Engineer at Intel Malaysia and Syed Nasir bin Mohamed, Software Development Manager also from Intel Malaysia.

Inisiatif Program Profesor Turun Padang iaitu Program Agro Hijau: Komuniti Berilmu Memacu Kelestarian Alam telah dilaksanakan pada 9 November 2024 di Kampung Ganchong, Pekan, melibatkan 27 pelajar dan 5 pensyarah iaitu Dr. Nurul Ashykin Abd Aziz, Ts. Dr. Noor Akma Abu Bakar, Dr. Nazrolnizah Mohamad Noorzeli, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Adib Abd Aziz dan Dr. Noraine Bahari daripada Fakulti Pengurusan Industri dengan kerjasama Pusat Jaringan Industri dan Masyarakat, UMPSA serta komuniti petani setempat.

Program ini dimulakan dengan sesi pemindahan ilmu pada sebelah pagi, di mana pensyarah berkongsi panduan tentang pengurusan ladang yang efektif, termasuk memastikan kebersihan ladang dan pengendalian perkakas pertanian dengan selamat bagi mengelakkan kemalangan. Pada sebelah petang, program diteruskan dengan sesi praktikal amalan pertanian yang baik, di mana pelajar, pensyarah, dan petani bekerjasama di ladang, memupuk semangat berpasukan serta mempraktikkan ilmu untuk kelestarian alam.
